San Clemente Ocean Front Homes

Driftwood Bluffs is a very small oceanfront complex located in the San Clemente Pier bowl area in San Clemente, California.  The condos offers amazing views of the Pier and T-street beach as pictured below.  This is a very small complex of only 15 units with very few residents living here full time.  As you enter through the private remote controlled gated you see a section of three separate buildings that all have views of the ocean.  The pool side area is located on the bluff that overlooks the ocean and is simply breathtaking.  We have taken a photo below that shows the wonderful views from this resort style pool area. Anticipation is growing as ground has been recently broken for the new Sea Summit at Marblehead community in San Clemente, California.  After years of being on hold the mega retail shopping center of Vista Hermosa is in full swing with many of the structures being currently built as well as new homes that will be built by Taylor Morrison home builder.  What buyers can expect is for new model homes to become available later this summer and 309 homes being offered for sale to the general public.

Southwest San Clemente Ocean View Homes are some of the more sought after real estate here in San Clemente, California due to the close proximity to the beach and surf.  San Clemente is divided into 9 different regions with only 3 sections located on the west side of Pacific Coast Hwy known as "San Clemente North" "San Clemente Central" and "Southwest San Clemente."  Imagine the main street known as "Avenida Del Mar" that takes you down to the San Clemente Pier as the middle ground.  This is known as central San Clemente and covers about 6-7 streets in both the south and north directions from Pacific Coast Highway to the Ocean.  Located just to the south of the central area and divided by the historic canyon area is the southwest area.  Ocean View homes

There is a a huge construction boom happening in the ocean front community called "Capistrano Shores."  The community was well established as a mobile home park for many years.  The homes were on lease land with the average monthly cost to lease that land was around $2,500 a month.  In 2008, all of this changed.  The 90 residents within the Capistrano Shores community bought the land for an estimated $100 million dollars which instantly caused the real estate values to jump from an average $750,000 mobile home to now nearly $2 million dollars.

The Marblehead Coastal construction continues on as evidence to an agreement was signed off by the San Clemente city council on the 19th of February, 2013.  Driving by the site today it's evident that things are moving forward with construction workers and machines in production.  The city council approve Lehman Bros to complete the work needed for the infrastructure of the site which includes adding streets, utilities, grading, etc.  Residents of San Clemente will soon see the large vacant parcel become more developed in the upcoming months.
