I have lived in San Clemente for several decades now and never get tired of the amazing views that can be seen all throughout San Clemente.  If you are new to the area or have never visited San Clemente then let me tell you a little bit about what kind of views you can expect.  Of course, many of the hillside homes have wonderful ocean views as well as Catalina Island on clear days.  One of the best views you can get in my option is the Dana Point Harbor Views which is the next beach town north of San Clemente.  There are only a few locations where you can get this kind of view and there a couple spots that are my favorite places.

The San Clemente real estate market has seen a huge increase in listing prices in the last several years with some amazing homes getting top dollar for them.  One of our most requested items when people are looking for homes here is having a nice ocean view.  San Clemente is unique when it comes to ocean view properties as the 5 freeway basically splits the town into two halves.  The homes that are located on the ocean side of the freeway are very desirable since you easily walk to the beach but often times will have limited ocean views unless you are very close to the beach.  Properties on the east side of the freeway are located in the hills of San Clemente and can have amazing panoramic ocean views.  The only drawback with a lot of these properties is

One of the most affordable places to find an ocean view rental in San Clemente can be found in the Ocean Hills community in San Clemente.  While homes for sale in this neighborhood has been very limited there has been a large number of rental properties that have come on the market.  Currently, there are a total of 8 rental homes that range from $2,800 to $3,950 a month.  Some of these are strictly long term 12 month rentals while others are willing to do a short term lease that includes month-to-month rentals and minimum 2 and 3 month rentals.  The shorter term rentals typically will come furnished and includes all utilities.  There may be a slight fluctuation in price during the high season summer months while being more affordable during the off season

One of the better places to find ocean view condos in San Clemente is the Ocean Hills community. The Ocean Hills community is conveniently located near Trader Joe's and the Ralph's supermarket on the north side of San Clemente. The community features several association pools and a putt putt golf course.  If you're looking for a condo under the $400,000 price point this is the community for you. Ocean Hills is also home to one of the most stunning panoramic ocean view street in San Clemente. The street "Calle Pluma" features panoramic views of the Ocean, Dana Point Harbor and Catalina Island view.
